I have unfollowed and unfriended people from social media after not getting a reply within a timely manner. I mainly only do it with people I don't know in person. There's nothing wrong with doing so. Keep your circle small.

In this case, you followed some random stranger from a different country. This is not someone from your real life social circles. This is not an aquaintaince. She's not even a potential aquaintance.
