OP lot of great books on the subject but you need to know what you trying to learn more about first.
because rarely to the same books or whatever medium cover both topics, unless its eastern yin yan philosophies.
i would start with the start of civilization, and where the need to conjure up prayer and etc stemmed from.
ie. the pyramids are lined up in correlation with the constellations so people could go up and pray.
