no one wanted kinect? thats a hot lie.
I'm loving it. and so are a lot of other people. now as far as developers. they obviously REFUSE to develop for it. I've said this before. they are holding gaming back by doing that. shure Oculus is great. but thats not the only avenue. We need to get ready for that next level of gaming(holograms). to do that you have to first start off with swinging at the air. cause a hologram isnt a legit object. the only difference with it being on screen vs in your living room in 3d. is thats it seems closer to you. but its still just you swinging at air. we need to have the kinect and things like it. to bridge that gap. because holograms is where gaming will be going. we wont be wearing a bunch of oculus glasses all the time.
shame on those devs for not having an imagination. i've said a few things i would like the kinect used for in REAL games not just kiddy/party games.
and that fitness is on point.
so even without the games. the fitness + controlling all of your components(TV, Audio, etc) by voice or hand gestures is a beautiful thing.
THIS!!!!
Now it may seem I'm going back and forth. And that's cause I'm not a Stan. I've owned every major system since Atari. All the playstations. All the xboxes except the 1. But I had it on preorder. Until the e3 fiasco. Even HAVE a kinect
Kinect was supposed to be the future. You could literally put yourself in the game (like that Kung fu joint) and fight people. It was supposed to be damn near VR by now. It's like 5 plus years later and what do we have..........
Motherfukking voice commands, a few games that lean and fukking kiddie bullshyt. Where's the real games?? Seems 360 started off with a few games in that direction, fable, Star Wars, kung fu. Then completely dropped the ball
Can't even blame it on 3rd party. Microsoft doesn't even have any AAA games coming down the pipe for this thing. Yet they trying to sell it in commercials like its God gift to systems. You could literally use a $2 headset or put a mic in the controller and have the same effect
The other options are cool. But I cannot think of any time in history I was playing a game while thinking, I wish I could catch up on house of cards simultaneously. Forget that I have a smart tv, pip and can easily hit the input button.
I, and Im guessing most buyers, would rather just have taken those away and put it into hardware and some real kinect games. They have the hardware in kinect to set themselves on a totally other level and its all about voice commands
