I was today years old when I learnt that Sexy Lexy died on 09-27-1999

If we can stop salivating over Dusty's son for a bit, I want to talk about one of my all time favourites and HOFer Lex Luger.

The WCW channel on YouTube has been great in giving people like me who switched over to WWF by 1999, the opportunity to watch what we missed out on. WCW by this time was a clear no.2 to WWF but they had a few bright spots and none was brighter than Lex during this time.

However, as I am watching these episodes I got confused because the commentators kept calling him Total Package, and never Lex. Until I discovered this:



The character of Lex Luger actually died on 09-27-1999!

And its clear to me that the Total Package was a completely different beast to Sexy Lexy.

He is a menacing heel and when his manager Liz undressed him, it's truly a sight to behold.

For a lack of better words, he was basically the Triple H of WCW at the time. Him and Liz even look the same as H³ and Steph

Luger, sorry Total Package even used a baseball bat during this time, the same way Hunter had the sledgehammer.

Am I the only who saw the similarities between the two?

I'm hearing that WWF wanted to bring Luger in and pair and Hunter together as a heel team.
