I used to do this too. Its just a callout for the ball with people that know what you mean. I didnt know Kobe hissed too, thats interesting. But lots of people do that or something else nonverbal like a certain whistle to call a play or for the ball. My boy would whistle when he was leaving his man on defense so we knew to pick him up.

Get some friends. Go hoop. This shyt is nothing new.
