The Electric Lady
Post and toke
I loved this PPV as a kid.
I always preferred WCW as a kid. Had more faster pace action, had more interesting factions and characters like Raven, the flock, DDP, the Horsemen, Eddie Guerrero,et al.
So I tried to go back to memory lane and it turned out to be
Eddie and Dean Malenko =
This match should be full of high spots and great technical wrestling. Instead it's mediocre at best and doesn't show what either were capable of. The whole time, the commentary aren't even commenting on the match, they're talking about Sting vs Hogan - you know, the reason people bought the ppv in the first place.
Kevin Nash vs The Giant is called off because Nash didn't show up at the ppv.
So they have Scott come and do a survey, which is the same shyt as usual.
Scott Norton and Vincent w/ Macho Man vs Steiner Brothers w/ Ray Taylor
Goldberg (heel pre-streak character) versus Steve McMichael
Raven vs Chris Benoit. Raven says he's not going to wrestle, so he sends Saturn instead. This match is not great, it's mediocre monstrosity. Note that at this point, only heels have won and it's their big show they've been hyping up for 18 months.
Buff Bagwell vs Lex Luger. Another
match.
Curt Hennig vs DDP. Not a bad match but not great either. DDP winning marks the first win for a babyface on this three hour show. What the fukk.
Larry Zbyszko vs Eric Bischoff.
Except for the Bret entrance because I'm a Bret stan.
Sting vs Hollywood.

They fukked up big time. This is what they built up for over a year? This shyt match where Sting looked weak? Sting didn't even go over clean. For a babyface. In a feud that lasted over a YEAR. This is terrible. Sting wins the belt, but loses it a WEEK LATER.

I'm utterly shocked we didn't read the signs that WCW wouldn't last much longer after this ppv. Were we all caught up in the hype? It was complete garbage. After watching this, I'm actually dreading getting to 96-00 on my WWE Network watch and I'm worried that they're going to be
