"I Wish" by Skee-Lo Is A Hip-Hop Classic....

I always dug it because at least he was being real not playin real..For every Snoop, Dogg Pound, Cube, CMW on the gangsta tip, the west coast needed a Pharcyde, Skee Lo, Freestyle Fellowship, Heiroglyphics to balance it out

This was definitely a great song.

I hear songs like I wish and Bust A Move and just smile. Hiphop was wrong about these dudes because songs like this are still rocking at different events in 2023. They’re not playing Gangsta rap at the 5k event and shyt lol. These guys need their flowers man. Skee-Lo, Young MC, Tone Loc, Hammer, etc.

I agree that this song is a classic, and I will go further to say that the flow o the song is strangely reminiscent of Em's flow on My Name is. Skee-Low had the style first and is the originator
