why would it not. its not like they would be expecting a huge return. for example i bet jay z memorizes all of illmatic. it would take him 10 minutes to record it .


i guess they could re master maybe add something here or there. but i wouldnt find it necessary

Ya this just wouldn't work. You came up with a pretty decent list though. If you had those rappers doing songs with those respective titles but the beats were different, produced by the original producer, and had elements that paid homage to the original, that would be ill. A GBE version of C.R.E.A.M. Produced by Rza would be nuts.
