Knowing how many International fans fly in for WM weekend that seems like a real dumbass decision in hindsight.

Also, several other factors to take into account (none of which is booking or political/political adjacent)
  • It’s Easter weekend. That’s always a down tourism weekend for Vegas, which is why Vegas wanted it this weekend. I’m sure there’s people that said going to WM on Easter weekend was a non-starter.
  • Vegas is expensive
  • WM tickets are likely as expensive they’ve ever been, but I heard they dropped prices this week. I’m not sure how much that will help put butts in seats outside of some locals.
  • The geography of hosting it in Vegas is not in WWE’s favor. Las Vegas metro area is fairly remote. Every city of 100K+ 190+ miles away, so it’s not really a place people can just day trip to in order to try to save money.
