I wonder the thought process of people who do retail theft, yet have the money to pay for the items

I don't know how the law USED to be, but now if you try to walk out with a cart of items and you get stopped, you can't be like "Can I just pay for the stuff???" Every video where this has happened, the officer has said "no" and the store always pressed charges.

There must have been a time where when the thief offered to pay for the items, they were like "Okay, but this better not happen again"

Its gone from youtube...but in MTV diary episode Chris Rock said "Sometimes i just like to steal." and ran in a store and grabbed something. He (i presume) took it back when they cut the camera and (also a presumption) the store was in on it..

when I was like 11 years old my uncle dropped me and my cousin off at mall and gave us $50 each (shop, food and bus back home)

First thing we did was go to a sports supply store, we walk around looking at shyt, huge store, 1 old lady and the counter half asleep

We decide we gonna hit a lick, we each pocket a baseball , yes a dam $5 baseball, we walk around the store for a few minutes and head out


We ain't make it but 15 ft before this top flight security dude grabbed us up yea we tried to pay at that point he laughed at our asses and had us call my uncle
