It isn't nefarious, and there isn't a grand conspiracy theory that people always seem to be looking for.

Your money goes further because of the costs involved and exchange rate, there is more physical space available because the countries aren't as built up as Western countries already are, there are more opportunities because there are fewer people already doing it, and there are fewer roadblocks because you don't have to compete with white people who don't want you interrupting their already established game.

And with the tax incentives in the US driving up the cost of production, more and more production is moving away from the usual places and going international.

Even American gameshows are being shot outside of America to save money.

Well his mother is from Ghana, so he's building something in Ghana.

Naomi Osaka built a school in Haiti, where her father is from.

Some people say why do "tethers" run from their own country, but complain when that person goes back and tries to improve that country.

So long as it's not financed by Western institutions - we might get a good film studio ecosystem in Ghana in the long-run.

I'm tired of having 5 Holocaust (a genocide which lasted approximately 4 years) movies every year but a movie about slavery or colonialism, which lasted hundreds of years in the aggregate, getting short shrift.
