The premise of this topic is horrible. Most Americans vote among party lines. Blacks are disproportionately Democrat.

And “both sides are the same” is not a literal statement. It’s about how the mainstream Democratic Party has shifted right over the years, some would say right of center to the point where no serious left legislation is being proposed.

But you weren’t looking for serious answers.

Numerically, there are more white Americans in poverty than black Americans or members of any other race or ethnic group so why do poor white people vote Republican?
