Except the Cavs don't get the same treatment. There's a HUGE difference between how the Warriors are treated and other teams. It's hilarious that only a small portion of the board sees this.
So the cavs and the fatherless lebytch/lethot,Mr 2-5,Mr needs more help,Mr win one for the land was a figment of our imaginations:jbhmm:

The fact that a large majority of this board aren't saying the Cavs' title should be labeled with an asterisk and that they can't beat a full-strength Warriors team, should tell you all you need to know. Like I said many a time - if it were the Warriors who won in similar fashion (down 1-3, one of the main Cavs players suspended + two injuries) - the reaction would be quite different.

Super stans on both side say silly shyt like that to each other. But the majority of the board is sensible enough to give both teams credit for their respective championships. As I said last year, the dubs don't have to apologize to anyone. They can't control who is put infront of them. That same logic applies to this years cavs. Any asterisk talk to either team is just plain silly.

Bron has more haters on this board then the Warriors do. They're more irrational too.

That's the thing they're not breh. I've seen how many posters have gone to great lengths all throughout last season (mostly the playoffs) and this season by trying to discredit what the Warriors were doing by marginalizing their play to: a gimmick style, not being able to play in previous eras because they don't play 'proper' basketball, only wins games because it's rigged/refs in their back pocket, can't beat healthy teams in the playoffs, more luck than any other team, 3-pt shooting is ruining the game, only score because of illegal offensive activity etc etc. Dudes were even saying during the Finals that the only way the Warriors were going to win that series is if the refs/league wanted them too.

The same talking points used against the Warriors weren't used against the Cavs (ones that were equivalent to the Cavs' style of play and success).

That's their loss then:manny: I enjoyed the past two finals and look forward to the possibility of a rubber match. It would be must see TV of epic proportions:ahh: I try to stay away from the stan wars and agendas and just enjoy the games regardless of the outcomes:yeshrug:

I don't know how to gauge the #s properly of either party (for obvious reasons) but I will say this - the Warriors' haters have been more irrational and vocal over the last two seasons. Some of it is because they don't like the Warriors simply as a squad and some of it is partly due to them being the face of "analytics" and being talked up as a revolution of basketball - which the majority of this board (due to the generation and demographic) absolutely hate, because their affinity with the past. I see it as LeBron being the lesser of two evils in this case, which is why the Cavs winning in the fashion that they did was generally accepted. Like I said earlier, if it were the Warriors who won in similar fashion, it would NOT be accepted in the same manner.

You're missing one thing though. The Cavs aren't as praised as the Warriors either, in this board or in real life and they've been quite considerable underdogs in both Finals. Of course the "criticism" is going to be different, its generally accepted the Warriors are the much better team. The Warriors are the golden team right now, with that comes a higher standard.

I understand that, which is why I said the treatment has been different -- more irrational and vocal.

No. In order to be better than Jordan, a player would need continuous dominance over all comers once they hit their prime. Who's seriously done that?
