Nah, that movie ended the way it was supposed to. I mean, the hood would have probably been better without Deebo around. But whooping his ass and showing nikkas that ANYBODY can be touched was probably better off for the neighborhood as a whole. 
The bigger they are the harder they fall.
And
at this nikka Deebo smashin Felicia. 
He was probably in them dusty cakes raw too. 
When you combine Felicia's general crackhead grime, with Deebo's elite lack of hygiene level, that might be the single most dirty sex in movie history. 
Also, the attention to detail and realism in Friday is still amazing. I've seen fights in my hood where nikkas sisters come out in the middle of getting their weave put in. Just like Regina King in the movie
And I have a theory that Babyboy, Boyz N The Hood and Friday all take place in the same cinematic universe, similar to the Marvel Movies
