I heard of people from st Louis doing this and fried fish and pickles and/or mustard

I heard of it from a New Yorker who’s moms is from St. Louis. Really thought it was from there
STL folks seem to have put there own unique spin on it compared to their other Mississippi delta rooted counter parts from my observation.

Why would a native Black American change their native diet to a Mediterranean/Itallian diet out of the blue?

And vice versa?

Strange how you nobody tries to ridicule Italian Americans for not adopting a Soul Food diet ot even being exposed to one.

Soft shoe c00n with food brehs?

Are you of Caribbean descent up their in New Jersey?

Y’all try so hard.

I'm in Dallas now and I swear so many Texas people do that shyt:mjcry:

Sugar on rice:picard:
Sugar on grits:mindblown:
Sugar in spaghetti :dead:

My ex did all 3:damn:

I don’t like plain white rice by itself, so I always mix it with butter and rice. I don’t put sugar in spaghetti all the time especially if I’m somewhere outside of home. Don’t do grits though, although I always thought people put salt in it instead.
