The hiphop world doesn't give nearly as many fukks about em as they used to. I remember during mmlp2 hype time people were more interested in albums like yeezus, magna carta, born sinner, the gifted, etc. His fanbase in 2016 exists mainly outside of places like coli, sohh, hhdx, hiphopheads.

I'm sure the fanbases aren't entirely exclusive of one another, but I would imagine that the people checking for one album aren't necessarily checking for the other. I, along with most people I know, are looking out for Kanye's next....Em's not so much. 
IMO, Em hasn't really dropped anything I've been excited about since the hype before Encore...since that album, I'll admit he can still spit, but I haven't enjoyed his music nearly as much.
I'm sure both will be fine with the sales though.
