People say the rise of the NFL killed the heavyweight division in boxing.
If football does fall off due to fear of CTE, where will the players go?
I can see tall athletic wide receiver types like Julio Jones, Randy Moss, Calvin Johnsons pursuing basketball, same with the receiving type tall athletic TEs.
But where would other guys go? I suppose shorter and/or stockier athletic players like a Vernon Davis, Von Miller could be power hitters (assuming they can hit) in baseball. Some of the cornerbacks could play centrefield or second base or shortstop in baseball.
Soccer has a concussion problem in its own right, but not as bad as football. The Odells and Chads of the world could find themselves there.
