there's nothing wrong with that in the animal kingdom. with lions its the male that has many females, in other animals (can't thi8nk of any now) it's the females that has many males around her. so who knows how it'll work for man. maybe it is the females with the power, maybe it's the male. or maybe it depends on the personality of the individuals.

You should be able to marry as many consenting adults as you want. I follow a strict libertarian philosophy on this issue. Marriage is a legal contract between the consenting parties. It makes no sense to limit how many partners one wants as long as all consent.

Animals can't consent so beastility should remain illegal. And as long as we define children as younger than 18, then it should also remain illegal to marry children. Other than that, have fun.

The only reason for marriage is to create a legally binding contract between consenting parties, anyone should be able to marry anyone else, don't be a bigot, dad!

Muslims, when Muslim empires were the most powerful in Eurasia, seemed to do fine. Also, early humans probably wouldn't have survived with monogamy. In the US, Mormons are actually a relatively elite community in terms of social and economic achievement.

I'm not promoting polygamy, but I don't think it's a major factor in the success or failure of a community.

why is everyone assuming the legal aspect of polygamy would be complex? people enter into thousands of business contracts every day and all the guidelines and rules are clearly laid out in detail. if the parties involved follow the rules there's no problem. if parties try to break the agreement unjustly there is litigation. i dont see how this is any different.
