I really believe that's one of the bigger oversights with this game.
For several years, since GTA 4, people asked for Rockstar to allow us to use our own music saved on our console hard drives to create our own stations. I guess they have their reasons for not doing it....
But Spotify(specifically Spotify Premium) would've worked even better IMO, seems like to me they could've integrated your playlists(radio stations) directly from your Spotify account. It really would add a TON more hours of replay value to the game b/c you wouldnt jump in a car and immediately turn the radio off or get tired of hearing the same songs if you're making a long drive. And adding different music would create a different vibe within the game.
They already allow you to tag songs within the game and then it shows up on Rockstar Social club site with a Spotify link, so I dont see why they just can't implement it in the game via a patch.
They could've made a ton more money off of this b/c alot of ppl would subscribe to Spotify Premium just to be able to have unlimited music at their disposal on GTA, and Rockstar could've gotten a kickback

My baby was gleaming.
Music for the soul!! I come out of my apt at Del Perro. Glide to a stop. What a beautiful day in Los Santos!
I pause to set a waypoint. Come back to the game and. .

I only had it on PS2. I dont remember us having that option. I did love that Vice City soundtrack tho.
I hope GTA 6 is back there.
