If I paid for something by credit card

Got some glasses for $600 and I paid by credit card..then paid off the credit card a few hours later. If I returned these will I get my money back physically or will the $600 go back to the credit card?

Can only assume it varies from store to store, but during freshman/sophomore year of uni my main nikka and I would go buy shyt that cost like $40-60 at WalMart with his mom's credit card, walk out to the car, hand it off to the other, and go back in and return it for some herbal supplement money

is this some kind of sneaky way of making money bc I don't see you would be. You used your own money to buy the glasses, then used your own money again to pay off the glasses. Getting the money back from returning the glasses isn't getting you any money. Am I missing something?

Dude request your credit card company to put the credit back in your checking account or send you a refund check.

the refund goes back to the card as credit. you might be able to take the money off, but they charge a fee.

its not like a debit card where you can just go to the atm punch in the pin and take money out no cost

They'll want to either put the money back on the card or give you store credit.

if you stress them and you come across as honest they will give you cash though. i've gotten cash back on gifts that were bought with cards.
