1) ISIS will claim responsibility...

2) Westerners will forget about me for a minute and focus on ISIS...

3) They bomb ISIS...I can preserve military resources, and focus on consolidating power while the West is distracted...

4) I am killing so many birds with one stone...Why not? It is a GENIAL plan...

The fact is ISIS is a very good piece to move with you are Assad...You conduct terror attacks under the banner of ISIS...They will claim responsibility because a) they want infamy b) this is what they are advocating...

If the attack is especially brutal, the West will attack ISIS, and you can focus on other rebels trying to break up your country...Russia is already helping...If the UN and NATO get involved, then you have the almost the entire world fighting for your benefit...
