If John Cena is so wack and played, why does he consistently get the biggest pops?

1 star. He gets noise in some way because nobody else is allowed to get over or they have to be fed to him. Act like they never piped in cheers anyway. There's a reason tv ratings have been declining for over a decade straight.

So they piping in Cena Sucks chants now? :heh:

Your neck beard smark ass negging thinking Cena isn't the most over wrestler in the biz gonna be in for a rude awakening when you realize he still gonna be on top for years to come

Buddy there is a good reason I don't watch. The crowd turned on this guy before I was old enough that a movie theater would sell me tickets to an r rated movie. Just like me, many fans instead of booing, voice our displeasure by not tuning in. It ain't the boos getting piped in.

It's reported at house shows that Cena gets the biggest cheers. But go ahead and tell me the WWE pipes in CDQ chants at house shows for him

sometimes, there was a Raw when the dueling chants started and they zoomed in on the crowd...no ones lips were moving.

That doesn't matter..the upper sections definitely chant while it looks like the crowd isn't on the tv side. Looked that way for Goldberg/Lesnar but they still got booed out and THIS MATCH SUCKS chants.

John Cena has a lot of fans

but we are NOT those fans

the kids are those fans...cause they'll cheer whatever good guy gets pushed...

and a major reason that he's cheered more than everyone else

is that no good guy is pushed over him ever. and when they are...their reaction DWARFS cenas.

it does matter, because it goes to show that he's getting CDQ's so they have to resort to piping in chants to keep this "polarizing" image up.

Why did he come out to hilarious silence on Raw?
AND TLC....S....

His entrance was CDQ that day though i will say that shocked me. Mizdow, a comedy character with no serious momentum is consistently getting bigger cheers. Ziggler, a guy who is consistiently not pushed more than upper mid card gets bigger cheers. And lets not talk about why Ryback was inexplicably fed to the Shield numerous time :usure:

Not to compare Cena to Hogan in the sense that Cena is NOWHERE NEAR the star Hogan was in the 1980s, but the timeline of their careers have a similarity.

Cena has been a face, selling merch to kiddies and doing a kinda version of prayers and vitamins.....WWE and the WCW kept going with Yellow and Red Hogan. Hogan was right at 40 when he went to WCW, and finally, it dawned on everyone to run the heel Hogan/nWo angle. Hogan's big run in WWE was almost exactly 10 years....then 2 more years or so as a face...so around 12-13 years as the yellow and red Hogan.

Cena is now 37 years old and has been a face for around 10-11 years at this point in time.

So, without any talk of who was bigger, that isn't the point, the point is their careers are on a very similar path timewise and heel/face wise.

IF WWE could do it right, and that is a HUGE IF at this point......a Cena heel turn, done right, would sell MEGA merch with an nWo style heel turn, AND put over a newly minted, youger babyface for the kiddies to support.

Ideally that could have been Daniel Bryan......Cena turn all Hollywood Hogan/nWo and destroy him, etc....take him out for 6 months and steal his chance at the title....but that wouldn't have worked anyway now because of the injuries.

The problem is, who is the FACE to choose? Who is the new Cena....the Sting....the whoever to play Batman to Cena's heel joker?

IF they found the right guy, that could be a massive program and Cena could go on a 2 year tear as a mega heel and probably flip the smarks into his corner.

Then as he hits 43 or so, have a last mini run as the face guy and maybe put someone over that way too.

Thing is, I don't think WWE has it in them to do something like this...mainly because they aren't threatened. They will just ride out the Cena merch train until it peters out. And if they do try it, they'll try it waaaay to late.
