Daily Show liberalism shouldn't really be credited with much positive in terms of material political action. While Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert (Colbert Report version) had far more humor and levity than the moralizing and hypocritical a$$holes we're faced with right now (and I don't think any of them would go after, say, Nancy Pelosi the way that Stewart did), those two are really the reason why liberals think that posting memes and mocking Republicans and middle America equal real political action. They've poisoned the minds of my generation of "political activists."

One can only hope that Trump's election will be the end of this crap. It's the death knell of both leftism and purported leftism.
