If Kershaw flops in the post, do you put him on the trading block?

Not for anything less than 3 top 100 prospects, with at least one being top 10, and an allstar caliber Major Leaguer. But still I probably wouldn't do it.

He's a 27 year old left handed starter in his prime. That's literally as valuable as u can get. Playoff performances in general are largely random and I don't believe the "clutch gene" to exist. Dodgers would never get fair value. Tigers got prospects tho :youngsabo:

"clutch gene" is not a real gene :skip: its just some people rather athletes or not, fold under pressure or when the bright lights on them and some dont.. Kershaw folds during these times, at least in the past.

you dont gotta go professional to see this.. go play flag football with your friends in the park, you'll see some people drop wide open passes that could go for a TD because they start thinking to much.. thats that "clutch gene" they are missing

Or maybe, MAYBE, they just dropped the pass.

Kershaw's ERA in the first month of this season was like 4.60......was he "choking" or "flopping" in May? Or is baseball kind of fluky and making conclusions based on small sample sizes an exercise in stupidity?
