I don't think Kobe can really regain that type of lift man. I also don't think he should be a starter on a contender, especially if you haven't played in several years. Dude could definitely be a legit contributor if he could at least move around like he did in the 4th qtr when it was clutch time, but it'd have to be for far longer bursts and probably not be a black hole offensively. That just wouldn't look good for the bench.

I MEAN, IF U GOT THE RIGHT TEAM AROUND HIM, HE COULD DEF CONTRIBUTE TO A CONTENDER. WE SAW IT YESTERDAY WHEN HE LEFT IT ALL ON THE FLOOR AND SINGLE HANDEDLY BEAT A PRETTY GOOD JAZZ TEAM....2 YEARS OF REST TO THE BODY CAN DO WONDERS, MJ WAS SCORIN 20 PPG AT 40 YEARS OLD. IT IS WISHFUL THINKIN, BUT DONT PUT IT PAST HIM.

I said yes, but under the reality check understanding that he would be on the bench as a second stringer and playing less than 8 minutes in a game.

That still goes back to what I'm saying. Kobe was a black hole on offense, (which was fine last game) but he can't do that and expect to make it back to LA at 39 or 40. Teams could just trap on him and it'd be game
