It's bad enough people still say he's top 5, but it's even worse people think he's better than king James. I think Bird being the best white player ever has a psychological role in where people rank him. It's almost like when you see white people dancing, whenever they bust a move black people cheer them on way harder than they would cheer a black person for the same exact moves.

If bird was black he wouldn't be ranked above bron, magic, jabber, Russell and a number of other players.

Bird is obviously a hall of fame player but there's easily 5 players better than him, he just gets the white advantage. Just like Adele, she can most definitely sing, but she not the best soul singer nor does she have the best music. She also gets the white advantage, same with Sam smith, white coaches etc etc

Basketball isn't like the music industry, we have quantifiable evidence that supports the argument for Larry Bird being ranked highly.
