If Living Single had stuck with this theme song, opening title sequence, and name it wouldn't have made it

That song was right out of 1989-1990. But yeah the few years between then and when it came out made it a stronger show for it.

shyt really was so much simpler as a kid in the 90s. Just be outside all day in the summer, snowball fights in the winter, over at folks houses playing MK or Goldeneye. BMX bikes on that X games shyt 💪🏾

Changing it from My Girls to Living Single also helped with the male demographic. Wouldn’t help to get a male audience if it was clear the show was only about the four women and not Kyle and Overton too. From that opening montage, it looks like they weren’t part of the original starring cast at all. Without them, this show definitely doesn’t survive the first season.
