They wanted Curry because Curry wanted them. They also wanted Rubio too if possible.

Everything went wrong for the Knicks that night. They couldn't get Blake Grffin (no shyt), then when Minny had 2 picks they thought they were getting one of them or moving up for Curry or Rubio. Then when Flynn got picked, Knicks fans thought they'd be aight with moving up for him (or Rubio) then when Curry got picked, it really didn't matter. Jennings maybe would have calmed people down a bit, but then Hill got picked and it was over. He was screwed from then on. After that, all you heard at MSG was the possibility of maybe still getting Rubio or using Jordan Hill to get LeBron or Wade if shyt didn't work out. Nobody left there thinking "Jordan Hill could be good for us"
