They were all forced to comprise on the BBBJ bill, and the entire Democratic Party ended up looking stupid by Biden, Pelosi etc, all because one person held all the cards. Biden said he could flip him and couldn’t. That alone shows how weak he is.


But there are enough progressives in the house that would allow them to block any legislation from passing. All they have to do is sit down with Biden and tell him if he doesn’t sign executive orders to wipe student loans (or at least the 10k be promised), legalize weed, and a list of other things, they will go scorched earth and make sure nothing gets passed. They will literally make him a lame duck president.


Ever since Biden has been in office, republicans have gotten everything they’ve wanted. It’s like Trump is still in office, minus the rants. It’s a real possibility that the democrats will go into the midterms next year with no real accomplishments. So if they’re not going to do get anything done via bipartisanship and being pragmatic, force him to put up or fall back.


Republicans won’t support anything he does no matter what. At this point, he’s only screwing over the people who voted for him.


Unfortunately, that won’t happen. Nobody wants to be blackballed in Congress….. even progressives.

Progressives don't have as much power as you think. If they did, then they would have already flexed it by now. They don't even have the unity within their ranks themselves as you can easily get AOC to break rank if you apply enough pressure as has been shown before

I'm not even a fan of Biden and even i know this aint true. Republicans have gotten nothing that we want. Biden has been getting stuff done all year without Republican approval and with them trying to keep it from happening.

Literally the only thing that he's tried to do and hasn't gotten it done yet is the build back better bill.

Cause the congressional black caucus is arguably the most progressive legislative core of the Democratic Party, when you account for the actual voter base of where they're elected, but they just dont call themselves "progressive"
