Most Superbowl wins:

4
Chuck Noll

3
Bill Belichick
Joe Gibbs
Bill Walsh

2
Don Shula
Tom Landry
Bill Parcells
Vince Lombardi (3 NFL championships)
Tom Flores (2 chips in 2 appearances)
Jimmy Johnson (2 chips in 2 appearances)
George Seifert (2 chips in 2 appearances)
Mike Shanahan (2 chips in 2 appearances)
Tom Coughlin (2 chips in 2 appearances)

So if Pete wins he would join the 2 chips in 2 appearances club.. I would rank him over all those coaches except Jimmy...

If he beats Beli, I think you almost have to put him above Beli even though he would still have one less ring...

Almighty Garden State
it should be noted that Shula played for 2 NFL championships and won 1 of em, 2 years before the SB era

but sure, he'd be right there with the 2 megatron listed as dual-level guys that had major success at both

So with 2 SB wins, you would put him over Vince Lombardi, Tom Landry, Don Shula and Bill Parcells? AND you would have to put him above Belicheck who is making his 6th SB appearance as Head Coach and 8th overall, having won 2 as the Defensive Coordinator?

Fuuuuuuuuck outta here with this reactionary shyt :camby:

I'd rank him as one of the top coaches with success at both college and pro level...for now...

I meant I would put him above all the 2 for 2 coaches.. not Lombardi because he also has three pre-Superbowl chips. Not Shula yet either.

If he wins he's on the Parcells/Landry level. Why not?

Yeah but you've got the fact that he beat Beli head to head,.
Only if that's the qualifier that can split the two and clearly it isn't.
and Beli has lost 3 in a row..
And?

He'll still have more Super Bowl appearances, more rings, more regular season wins (higher winning percentage), more postseason wins (higher winning percentage) and proved his worth over more seasons.
hasn't won since Spygate...
Why are we still using this buzz phrase as if means anything?
All I'm saying is I think an argument could be made...
Nah. You can stick this on the table once their resumes are comparable.

Ok my bad, I misunderstood that's my fault

I think longevity is the only thing keeping him from Parcells and Landry imo....Parcells took 4 different teams to the playoffs, 3 different teams to a Conference title game and 2 different teams to a SB....I'm also a die hard Giants fan so understand my bias here :smugdraper:

When you haven't won a Superbowl since it was revealed you were taping opponents practices and walkthroughs, it means something.

I think the whole thing was a bit overblown, but it's a bad look anyway you look at it.
In the grand scheme of things it has absolutely nothing to do with Spygate. It's just another fallacy that lazy detractors use instead of looking at what really went on during those seasons that they didn't win a ring (and how they lost in the post season) and fail to weigh into account their regular season records.
