I see dudes on here talking bad about Drake and his faux southern accent and American twang, but I never hear anyone on here diss snoop for being a fake rasta and making a song called "No More Guns"

:snoop:

Did snoop build his entire career off that fake shyt. I think foreigners don't get that that shyt isn't cool, a few co signs from american rappers and people look past it. But let a canadian or australian person hear you imitate their accent and they'll get offended.

Drake's entire persona and music career is built off of that accent. "Snoop Lion" can be kind of seen as an alter-ego.

I don't think it's that big a deal though :yeshrug:.

What do you mean why cant drake rap with a southern accent? He has been the biggest rapper in the game for the past 3 years and a top 15 Celeb under 30 right now. People on the net have the right to hate but their opinions are negligible, its not like they buy music or dictate trends.

snoop actually went and changed religion's.
plus, sought out real actual people in the religion.
which is how the snoop lion lack of cred issue could be deaded publically.
even though, him and bunny had issues.

imo, snoop needed to switch religions.
so, he could do the voice over for turbo.
without taking negative criticism for smoking from mother's groups.
that would have derailed the pr and draw of turbo.
previously, when he was in similar high visible pr positions.
such as his reality show and other televised situations.
snoop, quit weed publically.

imo, I also feel the turbo film, and trying to swerve criticism from mother's groups.
is why children are present in his early snoop lion videos as well.

as opposed, to drake.
who is just a voice over actor looking to align with gangsta rap labels.
to erroneously justify his draw, and cred.
at least with snoop, I know it makes sense for him to be a rasta.
given his indulgences in the weed culture.
both toe the line,...
yet, at least in snoop situation.
he actually sought out people in the actual religion and publically committed to the religion.
has snoop been on parody based bullshyt before.
or downplayed and made a mockery of culture to religion before, yes.
yet, I have come to recognize that as a possibility from most westcoast gangsta rap artist from his era.
so, it is not a surprise.
that snoop could be snoop lion as a pr campaign to shield himself from criticism in pr for turbo.
I have never always agreed with snoop's every move.
yet, if snoop actually gravitated towards being a rasta officially.
I think that is a great long term choice for him, enlightenment wise.
so, I don't trip on the snoop lion situation.
as he pr'd his motives and being accepted by the rasta community.

with drake, it is just an actor.
being an actor, and trying to get false cred.
with no actual commitment to the culture whatsoever.
then, using said connections, to bolster his talentless landlocked child actor draw.
to bolster his communications major, performance arts based phoney ass life as an adult.
drake is nuffin but an actor.
like Terrence howard as djay from hustle in flow in character.
as a hodge podge of djay, from hustle in flow.
combined with father mc, meets.........
what if, atmosphere with no cultural connection made mca to force md wack methodology style records.
or, in simpler terms arsenio hall as chunky A, minus the fat suit.
backed by overproduced mca rnb meets rap/emo underground style production.
