No Father To MY Style.. A Son Unique

So I decided to waste some time since for the past 15 or so years on here I kept hearing "If WTF was 1 disc it would be 5 mics" and "if LAD was 1 disc it would be 5 mics". I combined what I consider the best songs on each project and made a 80 mix of each album for comparison.

I tried to keep the albums as pure as possible by not cutting skits and such as I cut em down. I even fixed the skips inbetween the songs present on wu forever. Made a few beats shorter but most of it is in tact and shouldnt throw anyone off.

Wu-Tang Forever
01 wu revolution kung fu intro
02 reunited
03 for heavens sake
04 scary hourz
05 as high as wu tang get
06 severe punishment
07 older gods
08 maria
09 a better tomorrow intro
10 a better tomorrow
11 its yourz
12 disk 2 intro
13 triumph
14 impossible
15 little ghetto boy
16 interlude
17 the city
18 projects (CUT GHOST VERSE, shyt didnt fit the vibe of album)
19 bells of war
20 the mgm

VS.

03 Kick in the door (cut mad rapper)
04 Last day
05 I love the dough
06 Whats beef

08 Mo money mo problems
09 nikkas bleed

forever was once upon a time my favorite double hip hop album but after really comin' to the realization that biggie is the goat mc earlier this year and just how powerful and great life after death (with it's range of songs, classic) and ready to die (classic to the fullest, perfect album) i'm rollin' with life after death

big had somethin' for EVERYONE on life after death

jay been followin' the blueprint to the life after death album AND the ready to die album since it dropped; quotin' songs left and right and even the way he approaches songs

after that reasonable doubt album, jay started eatin' from both the ready to die and life after death albums, quotin' shyt and even runnin' to the hitmen production team for production for vol. 1, tryin' to get his b.i.g. on. but that was b.i.g.'s shyt and style. you can't emulate that shyt, it's god given. b.i.g. was 1 of a kind. sorry to go off on a tanget, lol

but jay knows frank white is the goat

Forever still wins comfortably over Life After Death.

Btw I know Ghost's verse on The Projects was pretty atypical but it was definitely appropriate given the track title. Just sounded different to what was commonly being said on the album.

Anyway thanks for the work put in OP.

I don't cut down the track list in what if album discussions.
Or honor them because the actual song was made regardless if that artist hid it behind the curtain or not.
Typically for a dope rap record to be of the highest utmost quality as classic material.
culturally some bulk of that project must appeal to the sum of the whole parts as far as content skill and subject matter.
In the case of a double album it is typically made a double album because a sellout style artist typically has made an album in bulk chasing a pop sentiment based track. While a more cultural group made higher quality records in bulk and by quality standards made a higher quality standard music in bulk than a pop based sellout artist.
As the avenue you can go in to really have a classic rap record culturally has a rubrick and the more you move from that rubrick.
You place the quality of that rap record on the fringe of wackness.

So, trying to trim the fat off of a big record and hide it or not release it.
Still means Wu tang made higher quality records in bulk.
that did not need to be hidden away behind the curtain.
Which is why wu recorded more and if not for disaster would have had more bsides released and would have released higher quality records in bulk than the jiggy content based direction of big.
Whereas, Wu tang is more cultural based and their bulk recordings won't be subject to pop sentiments in review.
So those records would more than likely get a higher quality mark than a pop sellout content based record.

In other words,...
Big in bulk as an art globally in convo incomparison to wutang.
Regardless, of how you cut and try to snipe at the cultural connection of the contributions in erroneous favor of big.
If big would have lived and Wu would never have lost their material in disaster.
Wu tang would still have made higher quality music than anyone who took a jiggy direction.

This convo is straight made to try to give fake credence to jiggy sellout direction shyt in rap.
Which kinda needs to be outlined cause nikkaz who sold out.
be trying to make it like everyone is or was like them.
When really the real emcees and culture were surrounded by a Gen of toys and fake wannabe's playing dress up.
as early as souls of mischief in 93 till hit.

So, this whole line of comparisons is to fake give credence to toys and sorry I am not going.

Just playing devils advocate with the constant single disk theories bro. Wasnt looking at it ij that way. Just personal best of. Obviously my rating for these is not the rating of the albums. I like both albums but id rather listen to wu
