Why?

It was an answer for the sake of contributing to this thread plus as I mentioned before, these states were once unified before they were separated. Their cultures aren't that different(Virginia would probably argue) from each other.



You could merge Washington state with Oregon too.....

fukk a neg rep, New York State can just swallow New Jersey.

You can combine all of the New England states together (Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, etc., hell I'm not even sure how many there are).

Combine the Carolinas and Dakotas... but leave West Virginia to its own devices. Combine Virginia with Maryland if you HAVE to.

Eliminate Utah completely.
