At one point he was but Drake over took that spot. But Wiz got a album with Snoop who is the most famous rapper out there.
that didn't sell well and doesn't help snoop's image.
my mom and grandma don't listen to drake but know who he is. That never heard of Wiz at all.

Drake is one of the biggest names in all music genres. Outside of Taylor Swift, Beyonce, and whoever the biggest country name is, he's going to be one of the first names that comes to mine if someone says "name famous musicians/artists"

Ask random 60 year old white women to name rappers and they're going to come up with some variety of: Eminem, Drake, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, likely in that exact order. Wiz Khalifa wouldn't even be a name they'd know.

That's usually my gauge for fam. My mom is a 76-year-old immigrant and listens to pop radio. If she knows a song or celebrity,I know how famous or popular they are.
