Immediately file a job application for Ups or fedex (they hire anybody) while finding a shelter for the week. After that first check clears I immediately file for a security guard license and complete the 8hr and 16 within the same week. Afterwards I apply to either Sera (part time)or CSC security ( event security) (they both hire anybody) while keeping the ups jobs.

-Seek available rooms for 500-600 a month( tons of. Then are in Queens).
-Apply for public living assistance
-Apply to CUNY city tech under a low income status and get tech certs for free.
-Use the certs to get a less physically demanding job in I.T
-Apply to CUNY school online bachelors degree for free (excelsior scholarship)


I’ve been in a position once where I had to think about this.

Try to live with family. Contact social services. See if I can get into a shelter. If that doesn’t work contact Churches. If I can’t find shelter hitch hike somewhere warm.

Get a gym membership at a 24 hr planet fitness. Find a locker I can keep valuables in. Use a business’ address to apply for jobs. Keep myself clean and put together so no one would know I was homeless from looking at me. Cry
