You're coming to this conclusion based on a larger assumption that because heterosexuality is the norm, that those that are attracted to the same sex are only born having an alternative side of the same realm of sexuality

I think what those people really mean is the act of homosexuality is a choice. As in, you can do nothing or pretend to be straight but doing homosexual acts means you chose it. Which is the most arrogant and self centered shyt ever.
