I was speaking on Audi's racing pedigree. You don't win LeMans 13 times, 2nd only to Porsche[not like it matters much now as whey're both under the WV umbrella] if you're shyt at engineering.
There's no replacement for displacement. The r8 isn't really a driver's car. From its release it's been an overpriced AWD piece of shyt that Audi slowly improved upon. It's pretty, but that's about it. If you're gonna drop $100k on an Audi for driving/performance purposes you're just throwing away money as you can get much better performing cars that are much more fun to drive in that price bracket. Gets worse when get into the $200k range for the V10+. People that purchase R8s buy them because they're eye catchers/candy.. I mean you can't deny it's a pretty car, but that's where the buck stops. If your friend was a true car head he would never have purchased an R8... modify R8s brehs
