Most people including other races can't afford a having a person stay at home. It's too financially straining unless y'all have a side hustle or some inheritance or some type of govt assistance.
Plus with feminism, women have so many opportunities nowadays. And in the black community...more black women are working good jobs, going to and graduating from college and grad school, more getting into management positions and black women are also going to the military and working production jobs more than before.
Women out here making money. So many single women making money and have their own homes and apartments/condos and they doing well. Why get a man if they can support themselves and have full control of their own finances?
Yes I know some of y'all men and women on here still have the antiquated mentalities where a woman need to stay home and not work. Please remember this isn't feasible for every family. Some families have variable costs that applies to them whereas it doesn't to urs like costly health issues, car repairs, car payments, car maintenance, home repairs, costly dental issues, debt, kids having issues that are costly, etc. Some people don't have unconditionally loving families who are freehearted and giving. Some people don't have the support and I mean financial support to lean on when things go south. Some people also marry folks who they later find out have expensive habits like alcohol, drugs, gambling, excessive shopping, always needing to stay fresh, always need to go out to eat, drink, party, travel, etc.
How can y'all look down on men who can't support their families off of just his income when society nowadays isn't designed for that???
And I also feel if women want to be a stay at home mom....they need to step their game up and attract a rich man, pro baller or some successful doctor or lawyer. Why expect a man making low to average income to take care of u with his meager income. It's like u asking for a bad or unsuccessful situation.
