Villa Straylight.
Describe it, would the amenities be close or far? Would you have open space or not? What would the demographic be? What would the dwellings in the are cost? What would the roadways be like? Would there be a lot of nature? Would it be more metropolitan?

I had to look up ‘druthers’, never heard that word before.

Small bedroom community to a major city.
Connected to the city by a commuter rail.
Easy access to highways.
Not much commercial activity with exception to a small downtown.
Basically not much outside traffic coming into town.
Top notch public school district even though I may opt for private day school for my children.
Tight nit community.
Sidewalks are important.
No subdivisions.
Tree lined streets
Pre-War architecture.
Access to water, golf clubs, forest preserves.
Possibly my own private beach.

Here is an example of such a town.
A bedroom community of Chicago.
Town was mentioned in the Great Gatsby.
It’s the hometown of the polo playing Tom Buchanan.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.

The immediate neighborhoods outside of downtowns.

residential with top notch amenities walking distance. Easy access to subways. If I can’t drive one day I do not want to rely on pricey Ubers.

nice parks and plazas in the area.
