It actually comes from a dev working on the app. He says its coming soon to "another Microsoft platform" But doesn't specify which.

Seeing how its already on windows and windows phones X1 seems like the only thing he could be referring to

Anyway, things have been fairly quiet on Windows update-wise. That's mainly because we've been doing some major refactoring in the Windows app codebase in order to support... another Microsoft platform. That should be out soon.
