That heat is hell on leather seats...cloth seats too, but moreso on leather, steering wheels, paint jobs, tires, etc., not to mention some cars down here can just not crank b/c they've been sitting in extreme heat for hours at a time.
Then in the winter it's the opposite with the ice/freezing and stuff...not a good mix for the lifetime of your vehicle.
