At times I feel like it’s hard but other times I feel good. I’m glad our girls have their mother available 24/7. We save for their college fund and I only match my 401K.

We have a rental property and our GA property will rent when we relocate this year. Both mortgages will be done before I hit 60. We have a lot in Tampa we will build on within the next 3 years. We are no car note gang so that helps a lot too.

Here in Japan, we will save with some costs but the girls will go to international school which will eat those savings. Basically, it will be a scratch on expenses between the states and Japan.

We LEGALLY dodge the Feds by 30k+

Honestly, I don’t know how families make it making under 120k and pay taxes.

Maybe a little bit more. I think Trump just raised the foreign earned income tax credit in his BBB which would help a bunch of people living full-time outside the states.

It's been a while since I checked it out, but I think you only needed 181 days per year to be eligible
