can be spat on any other beat as a "Freestyle" and still be some fire sh*t if he never would had came out with the song as intended! You don't hear bars like that on club singles anymore period! Same with tupac's How do you want it, I was getting a kick out of how he was going political on the second verse on a CLUB JOINT "Bill clinton mr. bob dole, you're too old to understand the way the games told" and then proceed about the struggles of growing up, lol you don't even realize it till you say the lyrics to yourself on some and mind you on CLUB JOINTS

very true. but a lot of it has to do with the flows and deliveries being on point. the truth is, people weren't paying that much attention to what was said besides the chorus back then just like now. it's just that at some point "lyrical" or "conscious" rappers started to have harsher and more awkward flows and shyt just didn't sound good at a party. but if you peep songs like Riding Dirty by Cham, you'll still catch somewhat party songs with political messages or just straight battle emceeing. it's all about the flow and delivery IMO.

you hit it right on the nail, a lot of lyrical rappers for some reason just forgot about flow and being creative with it that they started sounding like they were at a coffee shop reading poetry
