Based purely on their status as a prospect, the number one pick would be between Shaquille O'Neal, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, and LeBron James, depending on who is selecting. The TIME PERIOD of the selection is also important... if we're picking any time before the 2000s then it's between Shaq and KAJ, after 2000 then LeBron has a legitimate chance to be picked #1 (once teams were more comfortable picking high school kids and the league wasn't so much big man over everything.

I don't see how the 6'9 220LB PG who could play all 5 positions and has a great personality isn't in the argument...especially if we aren't including what they actually didn't their career,
