If you wanted to rally black people to boycott Nike, NBA, Adidas etc. Who or what medium would you realistically use for best results?

Let’s say in a hypothetical scenario you had a just cause with clear dirt/evidence on a global organization, showing them scheming on black people

What would your next steps be to gather as much community support and power as you can?

OAU, NOI, Shaderoom Insta, BLM, Wack100, Hot 97, Tariq, Jay Z, TD Jakes?

Seems other communities don’t necessarily have apparent focal points but rather agreements behind the scenes from race, country, industry, political and religious belief levels - plus strong media control

(Sunday rant out in the universe pals 🤗)

Above the fray.
OP

A handful of the audiences you listed are avowed buffoon populations. They lost credibility the moment they started following, and can never be taken seriously as adults.

As far as boycotts, all you can do is publicize the incident/grievance, and those who are offended enough will stop supporting. Others will claim outrage publicly, for appearances, and will fall right back supporting the brand.

Important thing is that YOU take a stand against what you take offense to. fukk others backing you. They have their standards, and you have yours.

The movement would need to start with black athletes. If every last one refused to play or at least not wear the merchandise, it would get more attention.

You don’t have to like what Kyrie is saying to agree that it’s some bullshyt to censor someone just because you don’t like what they are saying.

That happens everyday, in every walk of life and Kyrie isn’t the exception to that. The main issue is that people pick and choose who and when they want that concept to apply to.

I dont believe we are galvanized enough as a people to boycott anything for any real amount of time.

How many people were talking tough about an NFL boycott before they started watching again? We can't even boycott racist and toxic entertainment for any real length of time.

If MLK had to do the bus boycott now it would've lasted 3 weeks if that before people started riding again.

Shaderoom is ran by anti black c00ns
Ig is ran by whites/jews/Asians
BLM is really again ran by white women and other non black people
Wack 100 is a c00n gang member (no one outside of black people would take him seriously)
Hot 97 again ran by non blacks
Tariq is a grifter
Jay Z is a even bigger grifter and his bosses are non blacks
TD Jake's is also a grifter and preaches "forgive and forget"

This is what I mean when I say we have no real structure. Most of those people listed are out for themselves and could care less about black people. The organizations/companies listed are really controlled by non black people. How can we really get messages across when our "faces" would do whatever their bosses say for a few extra dollars in their pockets?

We've all seen the scene play out of when a person is caught saying something racist about black people, and a few days later they give a public apology with a bunch of black pastors in the background saying "He's not racist" :francis: . I've yet to see an asian whos been a victim of the pandemic hate crimes go on tv and do something similar....

We still have an extremely extremely long way to go. Chinese, Italians, Jews, Koreans, Russians, Arabs, Mexicans, Irish, Indians, etc are all told from the day their born to just do business within their own communities, to marry their own, to be as educated as possible, actually have prominent figures in their communities doing big business, politicians who fight for their concerns, practice nepotism, etc... we don't do any of that:francis:. And even if we do, we can't just have 1 family on the block moving like that and everybody else just doing whatever that's not how a community works..

My biggest fear is by time we actually gain some real structure and organization, it might be too late...

When it comes to us, only a minority is about that activist life. The min something uncomfortable pops up we fold.

Also we got to deal with the fact that alot of us can be bought, you havent seen one famous jewish person stick their necks out for kanye, but when something anti black happens you got contrarians coming out to defend or deflect.

Lil bow wow

in all seriousness though, I’ll be meeting with the press shortly to inform them of the order I sent out a few minutes ago. Yes, a boycott is being planned. I’m just currently discussing with my team the list of demands we will need the NBA, Nike to satisfy before the boycott is cancelled.

I have seen enough degradation of the black race and the righteous hand of justice has lifted me up to unleash a flood of vengeance upon the doers of evil deeds. And boy oh boy, things are gonna change.
