I remember when I went to go see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, I was sitting next to a dad and his son, and during the scene where the turtles are watching Ferris Bueller’s Day Off in Central Park, the following convo happened between them:
____
LITTLE KID: “Dad, what movie are they watching?”
DAD: “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. It’s a movie that came out in the 80s’ when I was little.”
LITTLE KID: “Oooohh. So it’s an old people movie then.”
ME: *listening to the convo*…

I hope the dad took the little a$$hole home and taught him how to respect his elders and the arts.![]()
You see them big shiny legs too huh?who's the nikka who answered the question first![]()

If a movie these days isn’t animated, doesn’t have a CGI character, or a superhero in it, the kid’s either on their phone or asleep. A film like Big would’ve sadly flopped today—same with Ferris Bueller. I don’t even think The Goonies or Home Alone would do well in this day and age. We were raised on storytelling and soul, with the occasional franchise film sprinkled in—not one dropping every other weekend.Hurt my soul when I tried to get my 10 year old daughter to watch Big and I could tell 20 minutes in, she was thinking “what’s this olden day shyt…”![]()
