If your favorite type of game turned into an annual franchise would you buy it every year?

Example, there are people that love pokemon, COD, FIFA, 2k, etc. they pretty much have every new game on auto-pay.

If for example your favorite game turned into an annual franchise (thats not mentioned above) would you without a second thought buy it every year or would you eventually feel burnt out on it? Like, maybe those games being less frequent make them more of a event for you.

Another example, sega is talking about turning yakuza, sonic, and persona into annualized franchises (they kind of already are). I know there are people that will never miss a yakuza or persona game at this point also. As much as I loved Persona 5 i got burnt out playing 5 and Royal.

I’m gonna be honest, if we got an Erd tree sized Darksouls/BB game every year, i’ d put it on auto-pay

I"d be down if they're able to maintain quality every year, but that probably won't happen

really I think some annual titles would be better as live service games

As long as the quality doesn't wane I would take an annual Dragon Quest game but they don't have to be full fledged. Just a slice of life smaller scale RPG.

Persona pretty much is an annual franchise. Not mainline games but most every year some spinoff is released.

Depends entirely on the quality :manny:

I'm more than willing to buy a game every year if it's consistently good. If it isn't good then I'll pass.
