I agree. A lot of issues could be resolved, if people simply swallowed their pride & set their egos aside.

The police should be a last resort. I believe conflict resolution skills need to be taught at home as well at schools.

For me, I am not in a position to get into it with people because I can't afford to catch a felony. If I catch a felony, then I will put myself at risk to lose my job, my car and my house.

That isn't to say that I can't defend myself, but if I get into it with someone, it better be a self defense situation on my end.

My rule is that if I can't afford to hire a lawyer, then I need to call back.

People just need to take into account that their actions may affect their personal safety, their families safety along with their livelihood.
