I got them for $179.99 refurbished but they're like $199.99 right now I think they're still worth picking up. I haven't had them for a long time yet, but they are the truth the short time I've had with them. These are easily the best sounding headphones I've ever owned. Blows my previous Audio Technica m50s out the water.

Yeah everyone knows that the mdr 1000s are elite. I just got my blue Sony mdr 650bt delivered today. Second pair. They have great bass too. Doesn't have the noise cancellation of the 1000x though.

I've had a few of the $20 wired Sony MDRZX100's break on me.. wouldn't get another

but I got some Sony bluetooth earphones for activities and the sound is crazy.

I tried these Sonys in my local Best Buy. $350. They are the truth! As soon as you put them on, you virtually become deaf...it blocks that much sound from the outside. The feature where you cup your hand over the right earpiece to hear outside noise or conversations is super dope. Sound is very clean and bass is not overdone. I would say they are on par with the QC35 and might even surpass them for total noise blockage. My biggest peeve with the QC35s is the crappy build quality for $350. They look and feel like $99 headphones. Definitely copping the Sony’s come Christmas to replace my garbage Sennheisers.
