Actually have a lot of respect for IGN after this, this is big. :ohhh:

Today, Waypoint reported on a “contentious” morning editorial meeting at which IGN executive vice president and COO Peer Schneider apparently said little, arguing that, “the issue was the charity article choosing a side in an ongoing ‘war.’” Schneider reportedly could not offer an answer when an employee inquired as to whether IGN parent company J2 Global was motivated to perform the takedown by investments it has in Israel.

The letter continues:

...we feel the decision to remove the original article and social posts, as well as the subsequent statement from management, is not only actively harmful to IGN’s public reputation and its employees, but also highly disrespectful to much of its content team and broader staff. The statement inaccurately ascribes the retraction to those “across IGN” rather than to the members of our upper management team who made the decision, giving a public impression that the decision was made by the editorial staff, despite this being a choice we did not make collectively and which many of us do not agree with.

...

Importantly, we feel the latest statement dangerously turns what was a matter of supporting innocent civilians facing a humanitarian crisis into a harmful case of “both sides”-ism. Helping children and civilians harmed by the horrors of war should be uncontroversial no matter who the two sides are, and is in keeping with IGN’s ongoing efforts to highlight causes that are important to our team — such as our support for Black Lives Matter last year and our more recent celebration of AAPI Heritage Month and joining the call to end AAPI hate. The victims here deserve the same support

It’s crazy how much influence and money Israel/Jews have in the media. The more they try and keep people from talking about it the worse its gonna get
That’s why they bombed the journalism building in Gaza. They don’t want that news coming out about their atrocities. fukk Israel for modern day apartheid

There’s gotta be a choice other than support Israel’s actions are support the human garbage bags in Hamas and Hezbollah. Both options fukking suck.
Support for Palestinian people isn't support for Hamas. Highlighting Israel's war crimes isn't signaling support for Hamas. That's dishonest framing. It's fukked up that you can't say shyt about Israel without it being intentionally misconstrued.

That's absolutely not what I'm getting at. Don't misconstrue my words. What the Israeli government is doing in Sheik Jarrah is wrong, and the world needs to see what's happening to Palestinians being forced out of their homes. They shouldn't get a pass. The Palestinians need help, and they need the election to kick Abbas out of power. The election Hamas promised 12 years ago, than snatched away this year when it clear Abbas was going to lose. Hamas (and Hezbollah) also commits war crimes. As long as they're in power, they'll put their fanatical obsession of war with Israel ahead of the good of the Palestinian people.

Tel Aviv, Hamas, Hezbollah, all trash. Anyone without a bias knows it.

Your post sounded like a false choice as those aren't the only options. As far as this story is concerned, the charities listed were to organizations that directly support Palestinian civilians - not Hamas or Hezbollah. I don't believe anyone thinks Hamas isn't causing more harm than good, not even Palestinians (as you mentioned they were on the verge of losing their power). And this conflict predates Hamas and Hezbollah. It won't end until Israel takes every bit of remaining Palestinian land and wipes them off the map.

And I don't really want to hear anything about a bias with the way we coddle and protect Israel. This country does it at the expense of its own citizens sometimes as well. I mean, you can't even put out a statement /w links to charities that help civilians for fukks sake.
